Autocorrect across your apps on Windows
Windows 11 has an autocorrect setting of its own, in Settings. Tybbo fixes typos as you type across the apps you write in, from email to chat to AI chats in your browser. It’s free and runs on your PC.
Turn on Windows’ own autocorrect
- Open Settings (press Windows + I).
- Select Time & language, then Typing.
- Switch on Autocorrect misspelt words. Highlight misspelt words, on the same page, underlines words instead of changing them.
These are the names in a current Windows 11 build.
How Tybbo is different
- Across your apps. It works across Windows, not inside one program, so the same help follows you from your inbox to your documents to your chats.
- Reads the sentence so far. It can tell “their” from “they’re”, and when the next word will settle it, it waits for that word before it decides.
- One key undoes it. Press Backspace straight after a fix and your word comes back. Tybbo learns your names and words, and never changes the ones you add.
- Runs on your PC. Nothing you type is sent anywhere for checking, and it works offline.
In our tests, Tybbo fixed 89.2% of real typing mistakes, and changed none of 4,255 correctly spelt words in formal writing. How we measured
Where Tybbo stays out of the way
- Password fields: never touched, in any app.
- Code editors and terminals: skipped by default, so your code stays exactly as you wrote it.
- Password managers and remote desktops: skipped by default.
- Full-screen games and presentations: Tybbo pauses.
- Any app you choose: switch Tybbo off there, and back on whenever you like.
Good to know
- Tybbo runs on Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit).
- It corrects English, with British spelling by default, and pauses when your keyboard layout isn’t English.
- It fixes spelling and common mix-ups. It doesn’t fix grammar or change your tone.
- Windows doesn’t let ordinary apps see typing in programs run as administrator, so Tybbo can’t help there.
Questions
Does Tybbo work offline?
Yes. Tybbo’s AI is built in, so Typing works without an internet connection.
Is it free?
Yes. There’s no account, no card, no trial period and no adverts.
Will it change words I meant to type?
Rarely, and one key undoes it. Tybbo changes a word only when it’s confident, leaves names and the words it has learned from you alone, and waits for the next word when it isn’t sure. If it does get one wrong, press Backspace straight away and your word comes back.
